The VENOM bottle perforator, was developed to perforate and flatten plastic bottles,ensuriing they can be easily compressed into compact bales for transport.
Perforation of bottles is essential to squeeze out the entrapped air, and prevent the bale exploding. When un-perforated bottles - often still with caps on them - are baled, trapped air pockets remain inside the bottles. If left in the sun, the bale temperature rises and the air expands, air pressure increases significantly, which can result in the bale exploding. The flattening of the bottles also prevents the bottles rolling off the transport conveyor belt during further processing.
The Venom machine is fitted with two close mounted rotating pinned rollers that pull the bottles through the pins. The pinned rollers are driven by a main drum motor. The pinned rollers utilize threaded pins which can be replaced in case of damage. The pins are hardened steel and polished. When used as a stand alone machine a conveyor feeds the perforating hopper with bottles or aluminum cans. The bottles then fall onto the rollers and are pulled down in between the rollers, compressed and perforated.
The pinned rolls are monitored by a voltage detector. Any blockage causes the rollers to reverse, which clears the rollers.
The Venom perforator can be supplied as a stand-alone unit, placed over a conveyor or inside the filling hopper of a baler. We also offer an optional capture tank for the waste liquid, outgoing conveyor and a wash down rinse rack to eliminate any excess liquid.
