TAKER IN ROLLERS
Long Life
The Pinned Taker-In is extremely resistant to wear and damage, and a life of over ten years is common on conventional cards. Many hundreds have now been installed world-wide, and although the oldest are 20years old, few have yet worn out. Life on high production cards is just as extraordinary, and tests in Germany and the USA have shown a lifetime of at least 10 years can be expected with no maintenance at all. Each pin is separately fixed, so any accidental damage is usually local, and there is no risk of further damage through the card due to wire stripping.
Call us for your licker in requirements for Trutzschler, Rieter, Crosrol, Lakshmi, Marzoli, or any other make and model of card.
Universal Pinning
A major advantage of the our Pinned Taker-In is that one specification of pinning can be used to successfully card almost all fibres, so there is no need to change when running different fibres or blends.
Reduced Maintenance = Less Down time
Regular card down-time is saved because it is not necessary to rewire a Pinned Taker-In. This is particularly important for the Taker - In. which is usually rewired three times as often as the cylinder. The pins wear better because of their points, and they do not need sharpenong or grinding.
Light weight
The extraordinarily light weight of a Pinned Taker-In ( approx 40kg), simplifies fitting without lifting apparatus, and reduces any risk of personal injury
Lower running speed
The Pinned Taker-In typically runs best some 20% - 25% slower than wire, leading to reduced wear, power consumption and fibre damage.
The Stewarts of America Pinned Taker-In is a very worthwhile installation. It offers major savings due to improved performance, extended life, and reduced downtime and is a most effective investment to enhance your Rieter, Trutzschler, Lakshimi, Marzoli or Crosrol Card.
Balance
All rollers are balanced in house on state of the art dynamic and static systems, optimizing the quality control.
